These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made via www.gur.co.uk. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by the terms below. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK law.

2. Orders & Contract Formation
2.1 All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.
2.2 An order confirmation email does not constitute acceptance.
2.3 A binding contract is formed only when goods are dispatched.
2.4 We reserve the right to cancel orders in the event of pricing errors or stock issues.
3. Payment
3.1 Payment must be received in full prior to dispatch.
3.2 All prices include VAT at 20%.
4. Delivery
4.1 We aim to dispatch orders promptly but delivery times are estimates only.
4.2 We are not liable for delays beyond our control.
4.3 All courier deliveries must be signed for.

5. Shortages & Damaged Goods
5.1 Any shortages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
5.2 Transit damage must be reported by email within 7 working days.
5.3 Claims must not be made by telephone.
6. Cancellation & Returns (Consumer Contracts Regulations)
6.1 You may cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving goods.
6.2 Goods must be returned within 14 days of cancellation.
6.3 Items must be unused and in original condition.
6.4 Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.
6.5 Original delivery charges are non-refundable.
6.6 Refunds are processed upon receipt and inspection of goods.
6.7 Refunds may be reduced where goods show signs of use beyond inspection.
6.8 Free gifts must be returned unused.
6.9 A deduction of up to 20% may apply where goods are not in resalable condition.
6.10 A standard 12% deduction applies to returned goods in good condition as they cannot be resold as new.
6.11 Domestic machines are sold for household use only. Refunds will not be issued where machines have been used commercially.
7. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be cancelled or refunded:
• Software (downloaded, opened, installed, or registered)
• Printers and cutting machines
• Software supplied with machines (value may be deducted if used)
• Cut fabrics or customised items
• Special orders
• Fitted or used parts
• Opened books
• Gift cards or vouchers
8. 30-Day Returns Policy
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below.
Under the Consumer Rights Directive IP/08/1474 and UK Consumer Rights Act 2015: We can reduce the amount of money refunded for goods returned which show evidence of use beyond the handling necessary to see whether the goods are as expected.
For example, if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product in any way.
Return Requirements
• Item must be unused and in original condition
• Returned in the original box with all internal packaging
• All accessories, manuals, and parts included
• Proof of purchase required
Returns without original packaging may be refused or reduced, as safe transit cannot be guaranteed.
Changed Your Mind (14–30 Days)
• Returns accepted up to 30 days
• Restocking fee may apply
• Deductions will be made for:
o Missing items
o Damage
o Costs to restore the item

Costs & Responsibility
• Return postage is your responsibility
• Original delivery charges are non-refundable
• We do not cover return shipping costs
• Items remain your responsibility until received
• We are not liable for items lost or damaged in transit
Refunds
• Processed within 5–7 working days after inspection
• Refunded to original payment method
• Deductions may apply for:
o Restocking
o Missing items
o Damage or use
Important
Items returned without original packaging are sent at your own risk. We are not responsible for transit damage where proper packaging is not used.
Your Rights
This policy does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 UK consumer law.
9. Repairs, Servicing & Storage
8.1 These terms apply to all machines left with GUR Sewing Centre for repair or service.
8.2 Customers will be notified upon completion.
8.3 Machines must be collected within 3 months of notification.
8.4 Storage charges of £3 per week apply after 3 months.
8.5 Machines uncollected after 12 months may be scrapped or sold to recover outstanding costs.
8.6 Sale proceeds will be applied to outstanding charges with no obligation to remit surplus funds.
8.7 GUR Sewing Centre accepts no liability for disposal of uncollected machines.
10. Warranty & Guarantees
9.1 All new products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
9.2 Extended guarantees may apply to selected machines.
9.3 Original packaging must be retained for warranty collections (Mainland UK only).
9.4 Where packaging is unavailable, customers must arrange return at their own cost.
9.5 We are not liable for damage caused by insufficient packaging.
9.6 Repairs aim to be completed within 7–14 working days.
Warranty Exclusions
Warranty does not cover:
- Misuse or user error
- Neglect or wilful damage
- Commercial use of domestic machines
- Normal wear and tear
- Consumables (belts, bulbs, needles, bobbin cases, needle plates etc.)
- Timing issues where excluded by manufacturer
11. PR & VR Range Warranty (12 Months)
- 12-month warranty from delivery
- Return to base service only
- No in-home visits
- No loan machines provided
- Collection (if requested) from £200
- Replacement packaging not supplied
Warranty excludes unauthorised repair, misuse, negligence and abnormal use.
12. A Grade, Ex-Display & Open Box Machines
11.1 A Grade (refurbished) machines are tested and supplied in “as new” condition.
11.2 Ex-display and open-box machines are supplied in “as new” condition unless otherwise stated.
11.3 Full manufacturer warranty applies unless specified.
13. Price Match Policy
We may match competitor prices where:
- The product is identical
- The competitor has stock available
- The terms and accessories are identical
- The offer can be verified
Applies to product price only.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders.
14. Promotional Codes & Discounts
Promo Codes
- Valid only during stated period
- Cannot be extended
- Cannot be combined with other offers
- Not valid on bundles or already discounted items
Platinum Discounts
Available to registered customers only.
Applies to fabrics, haberdashery, spares and accessories.
Excludes machines, overlockers, steam presses and white goods.
Cannot be combined with other offers.
