4 Cleopatra’s fan blocks joined to make a 24″square, now what to do with it?

Our small, local quilting group wanted something to do as a workshop at our monthly meeting, so I volunteered to show them how to put this block together.

I took along my Accuquilt die cutting machine with the Cleopatra’s fan die so they didn’t have to worry about cutting out the pieces themselves.

They were quite daunted at first when they saw all the curved seams that they would be sewing, but as each section was broken down everyone got fine, there were a few mishaps along the way, but nothing a seam ripper couldn’t solve.

Everyone completed a single block in the 5 hour meeting. Because I’d done prep work beforehand to show them each stage of construction I had enough pieces to make the larger square of 4 blocks.
