I sat facing my new machine, a Novum Pro Q9, and was a little awe inspired! I’ve been sewing many years and realised I needed to make something to get to grips with some of the features. I decided to make a simple bag. Having mastered filling a bobbin, threading the machine and setting the tension and stitch length, I started the bag. I liked the needle raising and also setting to stay down when attaching the handles and pivoting round the corners. I am pleased with my first creation with my new machine Kate
