We will dispatch goods on a working day, with weekends closed. Please allow 1 working day for delivery. Our goal is to ensure that the goods are delivered within 24 hours. All orders must be placed before 3 PM, as this is our cutoff point. For orders placed on Fridays, we will automatically schedule delivery for Monday unless the customer specifies a different preferred delivery day.

Free Delivery
Customers should note that GUR incurs a cost for every delivery that we make. This process and cost can be broken down into picking, packing and postage of the item(s). In many cases, GUR will pay this cost to ensure that the item reaches the customer with no extra cost. However, In the case of returns or refunds, clients must incur this ‘delivery cost’ and this will be deducted from the refund made from GUR back to the client. The amount of this cost is generally between £3.00 – £50.00 depending on the item and also the type of service that we use for shipping. There may also be a restocking fee of 25% applied to refunds – this is handled on a case by case basis.
Sewing Notions & Accessories
It is our policy that we will endeavour to dispatch our orders on the same or next working day.
Spares & Sewing Notions are FREE Delivery for orders over £49.99. Orders which are under £49.99 will have £4.95 postage. Delivery time is 3-5 working days.
There is an option of sending notions and accessories by courier next working day delivery, as long as the order is before 2:00pm. The charge of this is £8.00, providing the item is in stock.
If item(s) are out of stock, you will be informed immediately, please allow up to 7-10 days for delivery.
If Saturday or Sunday delivery is selected the order must be placed before 2:00pm on a Friday (as long as the items are in stock).
We will not be able to accept orders on a Saturday for a Sunday delivery.
Sewing Machines, Overlockers, Presses & Appliances (Excluding Cabinets)
Standard Delivery – Free to UK Mainland Addresses
Orders placed by 3.00 p.m. Monday to Friday will be despatched that day using a 24 hour service and delivered next working day (some addresses in the Highlands may take a second or third day depending on location).
Orders placed Monday to Thursday will be delivered next working day
Orders placed Friday will be delivered Monday (or Tuesday if Bank Holiday)
Orders placed Saturday and Sunday will be delivered Tuesday
Deliveries can take place up to 5.30 p.m. All items delivered by carrier will need to be signed for. If no one is available to accept delivery, the package will be returned to your local depot. A card will be left with details to arrange redelivery of your order. We can also arrange delivery to a work address, neighbour, etc. if required
Please note that all machines are dispatched in the manufacturer’s original packaging. If your order is a gift and you require plain packaging, please contact us.

Please be aware that this option isn’t available to some address IE Northern Scotland, Scottish Isles, etc. and deliveries carried out by Horn Furniture are also excluded.
UK Offshore up to 30kg
Deliveries to offshore UK addresses usually take 2-3 days but this cannot be guaranteed. Factors such as weather conditions and rural locations can effect delivery times.

Replacement Inserts
These are usually cut each Tuesday and then posted out direct from Horn Furniture using Royal Mail.
Delivery is usually by the following weekend.

As a Horn Superstore Dealer, our customers are entitled to the complete delivery service from Horn UK, FREE to the majority of mainland UK. Horn UK promise to deliver and unpack your fully assembled cabinet and transport it to the room of your choice (stairs at drivers discretion).
Delivery times are dependent on your location. Horn UK cover the majority of the UK every 28 working days.

Please Note – To reduce or avoid delivery charges, Horn UK can deliver cabinets to addresses in a free delivery zone from where customers can then arrange their own transportation. This service is only provided at the discretion of Horn UK.

Worldwide Shipping
We are able to supply machines to the UK exclusively. We are unable to supply all Machines products outside the UK and Ireland. The warranty on these products supplied from the UK, only applies within those territories
Customs & Import Duties
If you order from outside the UK , you may be subject to import duties and taxes, levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges must be borne by you; We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

Out of Stock Items
In the rare event of an item being out of stock, we will contact you by telephone and / or email to explain when delivery is expected. It will be despatched as soon as possible.
Shortages & Non Delivery
Any shortages must be reported within 48 hours of receipt of delivery.
Fabrics Cut To Measurement
Please be aware that we are unable to refund, cancel or exchange cut fabrics and made-to-measure items. Also please order the total amount of fabric required for any given project as we cannot guarantee that more than one order will be cut from the same dye batch.
Change or Cancel an Order
If you need to change details of your delivery address, add items or remove items from your order or cancel it completely, please contact our Customer Services team.
Please quote your order number and order date. If your order has already been despatched, we’re sorry that it is not possible to make changes to your order once it has been dispatched. If you’d like to add products to your order, please place a new order for these items.
Returns Policy
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, if you’ve received goods and have simply changed your mind about purchasing them, you may return the goods to us alongwith proof of purchase for full credit – items must arrive back at GUR within 28 calendar days of the customer receiving delivery of the items. These 28 days are broken down into 14 days to cancel the order and 14 days after cancellation to return safely back to GUR.
Under the Consumer Rights Act, all products – including electrical goods – must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If you feel that the goods are faulty, under the Consumer Rights Act you have an early right to return goods that are unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described and get a full refund. This right is limited to 30 days from the date you took ownership of the goods (this could be the date of purchase or the date the goods were delivered to you – whichever is later). After the initial 30 days, you cannot demand a full refund in the first instance, but you still have the right to a repair or replacement for your item.
GUR will not accept responsibility for loss or damage of any product being returned by the customer, therefore we recommend you use a secure and insured parcel delivery service.
The item(s) must be returned unused.
You must inform us of your desire to cancel as soon as possible preferably by e-mail with your order details, rather than post, and at any rate within 14 working days after receiving the item.
You pay the return delivery charges (we pay return charges for faulty or substituted items).
Delivery/Collection costs will not be credited
Refunds on used items will only be accepted on faulty items.
We will credit your account as soon as possible after the goods are returned and within a maximum of thirty days.
Software unsealed by the consumer cannot be returned.
Goods are returned with all the original contents and packaging and in a like new condition,if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product or packaging in any way. (A charge may be made to bring the item back to as new condition).
If the product returned is not in condition to be able to be resold as new or the packaging is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or deduct 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount. This does not affect your statutory rights
Domestic machinery is for household use only, refunds cannot be given if machinery is used for business purposes.
All items must be returned in original packaging for full refunds to be considered.Any FREE gifts received with the product must also be returned intact.
If goods are refused by us, because the above criteria are not met, we’ll return them to the customer and also charge the customer’s credit card for the value of the carriage.
Though in some cases we offer delivery, if an item is returned to us we have the right to deduct the packaging and postage costs from the refund back to the customer
Fabric that is cut to customers measurements is not refundable.
You must inform us in writing if you intend to return an item and return parcel to: Returns Dept, GUR, 37 New Summer Street, Birmingham, B19 3QN.

20% VAT is included in all prices. Our VAT registration number is 547521146.
Credit Card Security
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet.
All payment card numbers are encrypted when the order is placed using 128 bit Java encryption. This encryption begins at the form where you are asked for your credit card details. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Your information is not stored on an internet active computer so your details cannot be accessed by a third party.
