The guide of this foot aligns edges/seams of fabric so that parallel edge and topstitching can be easily achieved. It's great for tucks, hems and fine edge work such as that on lace or ribbon or a decorative edge.

The Janome Edge Stitch Foot can also be used for quilters who are picky about their slight 1/4″ seams. Alter the guide by turning the screw to match the edge seam precisely.
